This project is an immersive AR novel game adapted from Yōko Ogawa's novel The Memory Police. Players enter the portal to the novel world in the first person, trigger the plot of the novel while exploring the scene, and can choose the options brought about by the story to lead to different plots and endings according to their wishes.
On a remote island, objects disappear without a trace – hats, ribbons, birds – erased from existence and memory. Most people accept these disappearances, while the few who remember them live in fear of the Memory Police, the enforcers of oblivion. A young novelist hides her editor from the authorities, and she perseveres with her writing, her only connection to a world that is disappearing. I was drawn to the anti-heroic qualities of the heroine, the novelist, and I wanted to rewrite her ending.
INSPIRATION
THINKING
I want to rewrite the plot points of this novel and add plot points based on my understanding of anti-heroes, and give this story multiple endings. I want to create an AR immersive interactive novel that allows players to immerse themselves in the story.
I want to create an AR game because it offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse players in a dynamic, interactive experience that blurs the line between reality and fiction.

Portal Mask Effect
In order to achieve the effect of doors to other worlds appearing inside the phone while playing the game, while surrounded by the real world, I made masks for the scenes.
